Here's how to sign up for the Cardiff Half Marathon 2024
Following on from the buzz of last weekend's Principality Cardiff Half Marathon, it is being encouraged that those who want to take part in next year's event pre-register their interest.
The 21st edition of Cardiff's biggest running race will take place on Sunday, 6th October 2024, and after more than 27,500 people took to the Welsh capital's streets at this year's event, it is anticipated that demand for 2024 will be greater than ever.
Entries will open later this month on October 16th, and the first 5,000 runners to sign up will be able to take advantage of special early bird pricing.
Matt Newman, CEO of Run 4 Wales which organises the Cardiff Half, said:
"The atmosphere was electric at this year's Cardiff Half, thanks to all of our runners, volunteers and spectators, and we're expecting next year's event to be even more popular."
Matt continued, saying:
"The event has completely sold out for the past six years and early bird entries are usually snapped up within 12 hours of going on sale. We'd encourage everyone who's thinking about taking part next year to register early to avoid disappointment."
Those who decide to pre-register (HERE) will receive priority access to the early bird entry sale, and will receive a booking link hours before the public launch on October 16th.
From the early bird sale, runners can benefit from discounted pricing of £39, with the general entry costing £49.
A spokesperson for the Cardiff Half Marathon explained:
"Entries for 2024 are expected to sell out earlier than ever, with record interest from overseas participants looking to complete the SuperHalfs series, so speed is required long before you even lace up your trainers!"

About the Cardiff Half Marathon
Since it was founded in 2003, the Cardiff Half has amassed itself as one of Europe's largest half marathons, alongside being Wales' largest mass participation and multi-charity fundraising event.
The race is also a member of the SuperHalfs, a series of the world's best half marathons - which also includes races in Lisbon, Prague, Copenhagen and Valencia.
Organised by Run 4 Wales, a not-for-profit charitable trust set up to manage and deliver major sporting events in Wales, the Cardiff Half route takes in the city's most iconic landmarks including Cardiff Castle, the Principality Stadium and Cardiff Bay.
