A reward of up to £20,000 is being offered for information that leads to the arrest of a Cardiff man wanted in connection with an attempted murder.

Mohamoud Abdi, is wanted after a violent assault in July 2022, where he is believed to have repeatedly stabbed a man not known to him in the Grangetown area of the city.

Crimestoppers say that the attack "is believed to have been sudden and caused serious injury to the victim."

Mr Abdi, also known as 'Hozay', lived in Cardiff but is thought to have fled the area to avoid arrest by police.

The public are advised not to approach Abdi, but if they have seen him or know where he is hiding, to contact Crimestoppers.

The charity is independent from the police and guarantees everyone stays completely anonymous.

Hayley Fry, Crimestoppers' National Manager for Wales, said:

"We are appealing to anyone with information about Mohammed Abdi to come forward and speak to our charity 100% anonymously as soon as possible. Crimestoppers exists to give people an option if they prefer not to speak to the police but want to do something positive to help keep our communities safe.

"No one will ever know you contacted us. We cannot trace your call or track your IP address and we never ask for or record any personal details. Remember that you can share with us where Abdi is hiding and no one will ever know."
